My name is Katherine Thompson and I walked in your shoes. Being Hispanic, I grew up in an environment where discussing mental health was often seen as taboo. I learned early on what it feels like to carry the weight of expectations, self-doubt, and biases. As I moved through my career, I encountered the same pressures—trying to succeed in environments that didn’t always understand or value my identity. It was exhausting, isolating, and at times, overwhelming.

Through my journey as a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Spero Psychological Services, I saw these same struggles repeated in so many professionals around me. Brilliant, hard working people were held back by burnout, workplace stress, and the lack of support systems. I knew I had to do something.
